Sahina Rakototiana

Historical overview

Sahina Rakototiana started playing soccer at the age of nine, in the schoolyard with boys her age. Over time, she improved, and soccer became a discipline she was passionate about. It was at the age of 11 that she aspired to become a professional. Her father then decided to train her every day before school at the nearby park. At the age of 12, she finally decided to join a soccer team, ‘Gloucester.’ At 13, she switched to be part of the FC Gatineau U14 team. Finally, she was transferred to ASG Gatineau at the age of 14. She has already been with ASG for two seasons.

🏃‍♀️ Sports life

Sahina Rakototiana comes from a highly athletic family. Her father was a football player and a former FIFA international referee in Madagascar, her mother engaged in amateur tennis, and her two brothers were involved in water sports, martial arts, and football. As a result, Sahina enjoys channeling her energy into sports. At a very young age of 3, she was already practicing judo. Then, at the age of 4, she incorporated swimming into her life, tennis at 6, and finally, football at 9. According to her, sports serve as a source of relaxation that allows her to forget all her worries, especially when she engages in it with her brother.

🎶 Artistic life

Like her mother, Sahina is talented in singing and drawing. She has been singing since the age of 5, and drawing became a hobby at the age of 11. Sahina has participated in various art workshops at the schools she attended, and she has also hosted several singing and dancing performances for her elementary and secondary school. In April 2023, she performed in a musical, portraying the character of Lisa in Mamma mia!
